If you’d like to apply as a cancer patient currently undergoing treatment, please fill out the application form below. The patient’s medical team will need to be involved in the application as well. Applicants living in the southeast region of the United States get priority simply because all of our donated beach properties are along the gulf coast of Alabama and Florida. There may be a waitlist depending on the number of applications we receive.

An application for a respite vacation at any of our property partners at any destination has to be filled out by the applicant’s oncology team and submitted to rest@waves-of-grace.org directly from the oncology team.
Eligibility Requirements:
Waves of Grace applicants must meet all the eligibility requirements listed below. An oncology team member must submit the referral form via email provided below. We do not accept self submitted applications.
All applicants must:
1. Have stage 3 or later stage cancer;
2. Have a life expectancy of six (6) or more months, cannot be on hospice
3. Be referred by the treating oncologist.
4. Applicants must not have previously participated in a dream, wish or any other similar program within
a year of application to Waves of Grace. Recipients, family, and friends may only attend 1 Waves of
Grace vacation in their lifetime.
5. Minimum age to receive a Waves of Grace respite beach vacation is age 4.
Due to the high volume of applications we receive, our small team is unable to provide individual application status updates. This allows us to focus our time and resources on carefully reviewing each application and serving as many families as possible. Every application is thoughtfully considered. If your application is selected for further consideration or approved for a respite stay, a member of our team will contact you directly.
