As you know, the Covenant School tragedy happened on March 27th. As the news cycle shifts to something else and we get back to our lives, there is still much to be done.

There were many people I was connected to, but the closest is my best friend. Her son was in the third grade class that saw such horrific things. I was sitting with her at Woodmont Baptist that day, waiting to find out who had been killed and seeing some families endure the worst day of their lives. The experience has left many of us feeling at a loss of how to support these families. What I’ve heard most is “We just really need to get away, be alone and rest.”

I am looking to create opportunities for the staff and third grade families to connect and rest. For God to meet each and every one of them with peace and comfort. My goal is to get multiple vacations donated so groups of faculty and families can go together. I want each and every person that needs it to have an opportunity to go.

The needs are:

Vacation Property Donations (4+ Nights)
Financial donations to cover flights, gas, food, experiences or to sponsor a trip.
Connections and donations from restaurants, service offerings, or anything else you think would make these trips a rejuvenating and healing experience
I’m partnering with Waves of Grace (501c3) to make this happen. Waves of Grace is an incredible organization that works with cancer patients. All donations are tax deductible.
