our story
Our family has been active supporters of Waves of Grace since 2014. We were introduced to Waves soon after we were blessed with the chance to own a little piece of paradise in Florida. Sharing our home with Waves recipients is a true gift from God to our family.
We know first hand the benefits of time at the beach while or after finishing cancer treatment. In September 2012 our family celebrated the end of my treatment for breast cancer with a trip to the beach. Feeling the warm sun, listening to the waves, the sand, the salt air…we felt alive and a sense of normalcy, a break from cancer!
I will be completing my 5th half marathon, and Tim will be doing the 5k. For me, not an athlete, the Waves recipients are my inspiration and strength to cross the finish line.
